It's Friday, March 14th, Pi Day, and this is Today's Kus Word. Welcome to Today's Kus Word, your five minutes a day, five days a week, inspiration blast. Join me, Michele Kus, your spiritual growth coach, every Monday through Friday, as I drop on you some piping hot freedom bombs. Yeah, you see what I did there? It's really Pi Day today. I never even knew about such a holiday until my daughter, who started out as a chemistry major now she's an atmospheric science major used to celebrate Pi Day at her high school. Pi is spelled P-I and it stands for 3.1415, the number that goes on forever, because today is 3 slash 1, 4, aka March 14th. I don't know who comes up with these things, I'm just the messenger. Don't shoot the messenger. Anyway, happy Friday. And what a great week of content we had together, didn't we? Here's a quick refresher of all the ground we covered together this week. On Monday, March 10th, an episode called Your Words Are Powerful, I shared with you the story of Zechariah and how God had to shut his mouth so he would not abort the promise of his son, John. Remember that? And remember that we agreed that we were going to stop speaking negative words over ourselves. The Kus Word from Monday went like this: The words I speak are full of faith and trust. Tuesday, March 11th the episode called I Choose to Speak Life. We talked about the importance of not just not speaking negative words over ourselves, but also releasing life, speaking life, speaking faith, speaking belief with our words over ourselves. We want to proactively speak out positive things over ourselves and others and over the circumstances of our lives, and I shared with you that amazing quote by Dano McCollam, who said "Your experience will rise to the level of your declaration". Man, that is a good truth bomb, isn't it? And the Kus Word I shared with you on Tuesday went like this: My words have the power of life and death and I choose to speak life. All right.
Michele:On Wednesday, March 12th, an episode called Train Your Brain to Think Like Jesus, kind of a provocative title, we talked about this process of renewing our minds and how it's all about aligning our thoughts and our words with heaven every day, and we can do this by an act of our own will. It doesn't magically happen to us, but we can open our mouths and speak what we hear heaven speaking. God's inviting us to partner with him in all areas of life, and we talked about the power of this process of neuroplasticity in our brain so that we can actually rewire our own brain to think more like Jesus and less like our old self, right, and I shared with you the incredible Bill Johnson quote where he says "You know that your mind is renewed when the impossible looks logical" Another good truth bomb right there. And the Kus Word I shared with you on Wednesday went like this: I am deeply and completely loved by God, just as I am, and there's nothing I can do about it.
Michele:And then on Thursday, yesterday, an episode that I called Strength in the Struggle, we talked about the importance of having tenacity in prayer and how even Jesus modeled tenacity in prayer when he had to pray for that man who was blind in Bethsaida, not once, but twice. So it encourages us to keep pressing in, even when we don't see results right away from our prayers. We have to have that grrrr, remember grrrr? So the Kus Word that I shared with you yesterday went like this: I am getting stronger every day in the spirit and I won't back down.
Michele:And I shared with you the Tom Petty song I Won't Back Down. And I know at least one of you out there looked it up and was listening to it and she I know who this person is she sent me a text message that she was jamming to Tom Petty that morning and totally wanted to get a tattoo that says tiny tears. Don't get tiny tears, because it looks like tiny tears and then people will ask you why are you crying tiny tears? That's just my own personal opinion. But you know what, you do you, girl, you do you.
Michele:Got to share with you one other amazing text message I got this week from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which said, "I try not to kus. I think the way that you carry yourself is very important". Hey, Toronto, I have great news for you! There's no actual cussing on Today's Kus Word. The irony, I know, it's just a dumb play on my last name, but we are family friendly. I like to keep it family friendly because I know that there's a few of you that have your little ones around when you listen. So we definitely keep it squeaky clean on Today's Kus Word.
Michele:And one more text message I got this week. It goes like this: what's uppppp with like five Ps, and that was sent to me by my teenage daughter. To you I say, slay queen. So your job for this weekend is to keep saying those declarations that I gave you Monday through Thursday. Keep saying those. Remember that a declaration a day keeps the deception away. You like that? Thanks. And just a heads up that both of my girls who are away at college right now are coming home for spring break next week, so I might be a little bit off my normal schedule. I might have really short episodes or I might even skip a day. Lynne, I know you're keeping tabs on me, so just a heads up. Thanks so much for joining me today on this Friday Flashback episode and I will see you again on Monday. Have an awesome weekend.
